Dishwasher?
Cleaning in the dishwasher may damage the pacifier.

1. Cleaning before first use
Before first use, boil for approx. 5 minutes. Before each subsequent use, clean with mild washing-up liquid and disinfect. After cooling, squeeze any residual water out of the teat and allow to dry.
2. Hygienic preparation in the microwave
Observe the microwave manufacturer’s instructions. Fill the pacifier box with water up to the marking and insert the pacifier. Place the closed box off-centre on the turntable. Heat only according to the specified time/power shown on the box, otherwise material damage may occur. Leave the microwave closed for 5 minutes. Pour away remaining water (Caution: risk of scalding).
3. Storage
Store protected from light, dry and hygienic.
4. Replacement advice
Replace the pacifier after 1–2 months for safety and hygiene reasons, as material strength may decrease even without visible damage.
For your child’s safety
CAUTION!
Inspect the pacifier before each use. Pull the pacifier in all directions. Discard at the first signs of damage or weakness. Also inspect the teat carefully, especially when the child is teething. Some children bite so strongly that the teat may be damaged or even torn. In rare cases, a child may take the entire pacifier into the mouth. Stay calm! The pacifier cannot be swallowed, and two ventilation holes in the shield ensure breathing. Remove it gently from the child’s mouth. Keep the box out of the reach of children. Suitable only for NUK pacifiers.
Never dip the teat in sweet substances or medicines, as this may cause tooth decay. Do not expose the pacifier to direct sunlight or heat sources and do not leave it in disinfectant (“sterilising solution”) longer than recommended, as this may impair the teat. Use only pacifier chains that comply with EN 12586. Never attach other cords or strings to a pacifier – risk of strangulation.
NUK pacifiers comply with European Safety Standard EN 1400. Please retain product information and article/LOT number for future reference.
